Hi, I’m Deany Laliotis

I will be your instructor for this training. I am excited to have the opportunity to introduce you to EMDR therapy, a powerful and effective psychotherapy approach that changed my practice and, of course, my life.  I began working alongside Francine Shapiro, originator of EMDR in 1993 and, with her mentorship I was able to contribute to the evolution of EMDR from a powerful technique to a comprehensive psychotherapy approach that goes beyond the resolution of trauma to healing the human spirit. I am an invited presenter, keynote speaker and EMDR therapy expert at conferences throughout the world, as well as a trainer, clinical consultant and psychotherapist. In addition to offering you the EMDR Therapy Basic Training as your foundational course, I’ll also introduce you to a more relational approach to healing trauma while helping our clients step into all that’s possible for them.

This is EMDR Basic Training PLUS

You have a number of EMDR Basic Training options to choose from and many of them meet EMDRIA’s criteria. But our EMDRIA-approved EMDR Therapy Basic Training lays a solid foundation for practicing comprehensive EMDR psychotherapy with an emphasis on healing the whole person, promoting personal growth and change—way beyond relieving symptoms.

  • I’ll take you through a case preparation process that I refer to as, “The Work Before the Work.” It’s an approach that minimizes dead ends and clinical impasses to help ensure positive treatment outcomes—even with your most challenging clients.
  • EMDR therapy is an experiential approach, so we’ll practice using the self of the therapist to facilitate co-regulation and dual awareness.
  • We’ll explore the therapeutic relationship as an active ingredient for transforming trauma with EMDR therapy and you’ll learn how your own life experiences inform and influence your work with clients.
  • We’ll also discuss how to address developmental deficits that result from childhood abuse and neglect and facilitate the necessary repair.

I hope you can join me for this unique online training. It’s EMDRIA-approved and will transform the way you work with your clients. It will change their lives too.
