For licensed mental health clinicians who have completed EMDR basic training.
As therapists, we recognize the therapeutic relationship as central to our work with clients. As practitioners of EMDR therapy, we appreciate the moment-to-moment unfolding of experience in a session that makes transformation possible. How we are with our clients is an integral part of the healing that takes place.
This program is for EMDR therapists who want to deepen their understanding of interpersonal neurobiology and attachment, exploring how their own attachment history informs their work with clients, particularly in challenging clinical situations. In The Dance of Attachment, we actively work with the somatic component, the different parts of self in the therapist, as well as the relational dimension, taking what we already know to a deeper level, effecting change in ourselves as well as our clients. Supervised practice in dyads focuses on the therapist’s own personal attachment experiences.
