EMDR Masterclass Training Retreat

Triangle of Trauma:Victim, Victimizer or Rescuer?

5-Days with Deany Laliotis • Red Mountain Resort • Utah • September 26-October 1

Do you work with complex developmental trauma and attachment injuries?
Do you have clients who see others as victimizers or rescuers?
Have you ever found yourself in one these roles and wondered why?
Yes? Then this EMDR Masterclass Retreat is for you.

An EMDR Training Retreat for Experienced Therapists Committed to Excellence

This five-day EMDR Masterclass Training Retreat is for experienced EMDR therapists who specialize in working with complex developmental trauma and attachment injuries. Our focus will be on the inherent challenges that come with this enigmatic territory and how to best meet them. In doing so, we will take our own journeys of self-exploration and healing so we can bring our best selves to these challenges.

We’ll take a deep dive into the concepts that help you practice at the highest level of mastery beginning with the drama triangle of victim, perpetrator and rescuer. We’ll explore attachment styles, a practical understanding of Polyvagal Theory and how to work with parts of self, both in and out of processing. We’ll also look at how these elements and others come into play in our work with complex trauma.

Join us for this EMDR Masterclass Training Retreat and learn

  • what to do when therapy is at a standstill and you don’t know why
  • how to balance the relational demands between clinician and client while navigating the unique and varied challenges of a complex case
  • how to recognize defensive patterns of response, in and out of processing, and to facilitate the client’s ability to consider alternative responses

You will leave this EMDR Masterclass Training with new insights and powerful strategies for shifting the Triangle of Trauma dynamic to the Triangle of Empowerment for both you and your clients.

Dig Deep. Expand Your Capacity as a Healer.

We created this EMDR Masterclass Training with the time, support and safety for therapists to learn more about themselves and their own attachment styles and triggers. That self-awareness will help you become an even better therapist. In this EMDR Masterclass Training Retreat, we’ll explore:

  • how we can inadvertently step into the roles of victim, victimizer and rescuer with clients who struggle with attachment-related dynamics
  • new conceptual maps that help you recognize these dynamics and practical strategies that help facilitate repair and resolution
  • how response patterns —our own and our clients’—can set the triangle dynamic in motion

Take a Break. Feed Your Soul.

It’s a place that I have found to be deeply restful and healing. The Red Rock Canyons are ancient and awe-inspiring. The resort accommodations, food and spa are first-class. The staff is both attentive and responsive. I believe you will walk away from these five days with your fellow Master Therapists energized and renewed. I hope you will join me and your peers.
